The examples in these docs use the following package baseline. Your Datool server may ship independently; use live operation discovery to check its supported inputs.

These are reproducible example versions, not a promise that they are the newest release. Keep your lockfile when reproducing an evaluation. Updating a package does not update a remote Datool server.

npx datool agent tools record_reviewdoctor requires CLI protocol 1 and checks a minimal trace read. A permission failure is different from an incompatible server. Live discovery returns the deployed input schema and required scopes. An older CLI can call a supported operation with agent call even if it lacks a convenience alias.
The CLI 0.4.1 source adds bridge session protocol changes. A source version is not evidence of an npm release. Use the published baseline above unless your administrator supplies and verifies a newer CLI and compatible server together. connect --watch exists in 0.4.0; stop and reconnect if your server rejects the bridge protocol.
The application source repository is private. Public documentation links do not grant source access. Ask your Datool administrator for a Python wheel and its checksum, or source access, before following the Python setup. Do not install an unrelated package simply because it has a similar name.
After an upgrade, run doctor, send a first trace, and execute the deterministic evaluation. Verify the saved trace and case results, including an intentionally failing quality gate. Self-hosted operators must apply the release's migrations and restart the web and worker processes.
